The Snowplow Hockey levels are introductory classes divided into four progressive levels allowing young skaters with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the basic skills of skating in a fun and safe environment. These classes are intended or beginners age 6 and under.

Classes are provided one time per week on your selected day/time for 8 consecutive weeks unless noted. The date selected will be your first day of classes. Class prices include 8 weeks of instruction on the chosen day of the week as well as skate rental. Class sessions will be 30 minutes of instructional time and 10 minutes of independent practice.

Snowplow Hockey 1: This class is for young beginners with no prior skating experience. Elements include proper falling and recovery, balancing and marching.
Snowplow Hockey 2:This class is for young skaters who have progressed from Snowplow Sam 1. Elements include forward skating, dip while moving, backward wiggles, forward swizzles and beginning snowplow stop.
Snowplow Hockey 3:This class is for young skaters who have progressed from Snowplow Sam 2. Elements include forward skating, one-foot glides, forward swizzles, backward swizzles, backward 2-foot glides, and moving forward snowplow stop.
Snowplow Hockey 4:This class is for young skaters who have progressed from Snowplow Sam 3. Elements include advanced forward skating, advanced one-foot glides, advanced backward swizzles, rocking horse, two foot turns in place and two-foot hops.

The Hockey curriculum is designed to teach the fundamentals of hockey skating. In four badge levels, skaters will learn how to become more agile on the ice. Proper skating techniques for the game of hockey are the primary focus of the levels. All elements will be taught without a puck. Skaters will learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, use of edges and other necessary fundamentals to be successful in hockey practices and games.

Hockey 1:This class is for beginner hockey skaters with no prior skating experience. Elements include falling and recovery, proper basic hockey stance, march across the ice, two-foot glides, dips, forward swizzle/double C-cuts, T-push to a two-foot glide, stationary snowplow stop.
Hockey 2:This class is for skaters who have mastered Hockey 1. Elements include forward strides using 45-degree V-push, focus on good recovery and alternating arm drive, forward one foot push and glide, forward C-cuts alternating, backward hustle or march then glide on two feet, backward swizzles/double C-cuts, backward C-cuts alternating, two-foot moving snowplow stop.
Hockey 3:This class is for skaters who have mastered Hockey 2. Elements include lateral crossover march (both directions), forward C-cuts (half swizzle pumps) on the circle, forward outside and forward inside edges alternating feet on an axis, backward C-cuts (half swizzle pumps on the circle both directions, backward snowplow stops, one-foot moving snowplow stop, beginning hockey stop.
Hockey 4:This class is for skaters who have mastered Hockey 3. Elements include quick starts using forward V start, backward one foot glide, forward crossover glides both directions (hold feet in crossed position for two counts), forward crossovers on circle both directions, backward crossovers on circle both directions, hockey stops both directions with speed.
